PAC classes teach key acting skills whilst boosting confidence.

Parramatta Actors Centre offers acting and drama classes to kids, teens and adults in Western Sydney. View descriptions of our Kids and Teens classes. We also offer adult acting classes for beginner and advanced students. Check out the upcoming class schedule here.

At the heart of the Parramatta Actors Centre approach is the desire to promote fun and dynamic actor training that boosts confidence and fosters social interaction. Read more about PAC’s vision here.

They key acting skills taught across all PAC classes are:

  • The ability to improvise and think on your toes.
  • The ability to imagine and play.
  • The ability to understand and analyse text including scripts.
  • The ability to use expressive skills, including voice and body, to convey emotion and communicate ideas.
  • The ability to utilise stagecraft to enhance a performance.
  • The ability to perform in front of a camera with confidence.
  • The ability to learn lines and stage directions.
  • The ability to take direction.
  • The ability to collaborate with peers.
  • The ability to evaluate and self-reflect.

What makes Parramatta Actors Centre different from many other acting schools in Western Sydney is that not only are all of our teachers qualified and hold current Working with Children Checks, but they are working actors, writers and artists, as well as school teachers. PAC classes are structured in Year Levels.

PAC classes are grouped into the following categories to cater to specific developmental stages:

  • Young Kids: Grades K-1
  • Kids: Grades 2-3
  • Pre-Teens: Grades 4-6
  • Teens: Grades 7-9
  • Senior Teens: Grades 10-12

Adult classes at PAC are open to students aged 17+.

PAC classes cover a range of acting styles and methods.

Within each PAC class, a student may learn one or a combination of the following acting styles and areas:

  • Improvisation
  • Stage
  • Screen
  • Accent
  • Casting/audition practice

PAC classes are term-based.

All kids, teens and adult classes at PAC run for 10-weeks. Students attend one class per week and the length of each lesson depends on the age group. Each course is offered multiple times across the year, giving an actor the chance to build on the work learned in previous classes and strengthen their acting muscle.

Term 1: Monday 29 January – Saturday 6 April 2024
Term 2: Monday 29 April – Saturday 6 July 2024
Term 3: Monday, 22 July – Saturday, 28 September 2024
Term 4: Monday 14 October – Saturday 21 December 2024
