Here’s an overview of the exciting activities planned for each week:
Weeks 1-2: Foundations of Acting
- Acting Techniques: Introduce fundamental acting techniques, including voice projection, stage presence, and character exploration.
- Improvisation: Engage in improvisational exercises to foster spontaneity, creativity, and quick thinking.
Weeks 3-4: Character Development and Scene Study
- In-Depth Character Studies: Explore the intricacies of character development, delving into character motivations, relationships, and objectives.
- Scene Study: Analyse and perform scenes from well-known plays, focusing on character interactions and emotional depth.
Weeks 5-6: Script Analysis and Monologues
- Script Analysis Techniques: Teach the art of script analysis, emphasising understanding plot structure, themes, and character arcs.
- Monologue Development: Guide students in selecting and preparing a monologue, focusing on individual expression and character portrayal.
Weeks 7-8: Ensemble Work and Group Scenes
- Ensemble Building: Cultivate teamwork and collaboration through ensemble exercises and group activities.
- Group Scene Creation: Collaborate with peers to develop and perform original group scenes, enhancing cooperation and creative expression.
Weeks 9-10: Showcase Preparation and Final Performance
- Full Scene Rehearsals: Combine individual and group scenes into a cohesive final performance.
- Dress Rehearsal: Fine-tune performances, practice transitions, and prepare for the final showcase.
- Showcase Event: Celebrate the culmination of the term with a live performance, providing an opportunity for students to showcase their talents to family and friends.
Throughout the Term:
- Creative Exploration: Incorporate exercises that stimulate creative thinking, encouraging students to bring their unique perspectives to the stage.
- Feedback Sessions: Provide constructive feedback to help students refine their performances and build confidence.
- Theatrical Discussions: Engage in discussions about the broader theatrical world, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the art of acting.
This 10-week Pre-Teens Acting Class Term is more than just learning lines; it’s a holistic exploration of the dramatic arts, allowing young actors to refine their skills, build meaningful connections, and experience the joy of live performance. Join us for a term filled with creativity, collaboration, and the magic of the stage!

Note: PAC recognises the varying levels of experience and interests amongst its students and so our teachers, at all times, will adjust their classes to accomodate to all levels and preferences.
