Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

No refunds will be given for a missed class.

Where are the classes held?

Our classes are run out of the Information and Cultural Exchange (ICE) in Parramatta.

The address is 8 Victoria Road, Parramatta. Corner of Victoria Road and Villiers Street.

If you’re driving:

We recommend parking in the carpark of North Parramatta McDonalds next door and walking over. There is also unmetered parking on Ross and Villiers streets after 6pm.

If you’re catching public transport:

ICE is a 15-20 minute walk from Parramatta train station. Walk all the way down Church Street until you hit Prince Alfred Park. Cross diagonally through the park and ICE will be on the corner across Victoria Road.

What should I wear to the class?

We encourage all students to wear loose and comfortable clothing so as to free their ability to move and explore.

I'm shy and introverted. Can I still enrol?

Yes, it is ok that you’re shy and introverted.

Believe it or not, the majority of students that come to PAC are as well.

Acting classes aren’t designed to turn naturally shy or introverted people into loud and boisterous extroverts; rather, we seek to ground you in your uniqueness and help you accept who you are – be that introverted or not.

For anyone who suffers from social anxiety, or stage fright however, we do a range of voice, body, solo and ensemble exercises to help soften the nerves and connect you more with yourself, others, and the space around you.

Who is this class suited to?

This class isn’t for everyone; it’s going to be jam-packed and intensive. Your brain might even explode. But if you’re ready for the challenge, and eager to dedicate two hours of your life to something apart from brunch or IKEA, then this might just be for you.

This class is for you if:

  • You want to get out of your shell
  • You want to push yourself to places you’ve never gone
  • You’ve had an acting itch that you’ve just wanted to scratch but have never had the time, motivation or finances to do so
  • You just got your tax return and you have some money to invest back into yourself
  • You’re a busy beaver during the week and prefer short-term, intensive courses

What do I bring to the class?

Bring a bottle of water and your openness and enthusiasm. And also a notepad and pen should you feel you want to jot some interesting exercises to take home.

Am I too old for the class?

No, you’re not too old. The average age of our adult students is 30s. We have fresh-faced 18 year-olds and wise 60 year olds do our courses.

Do I book a single class or multiple?

These classes are designed to be one-off.

But if you feel like really working your acting muscle, and booking multiple classes, then please feel free to!

Although each class will cover the same thing, there will be different people each time so your experience will be sure to be different each time.

Sarah

Where to start?

16 hours doesn’t seem like much…it’s less than a day but it was long enough to:

– experience unbelievable trust with an amazing group of people!!!! We all had different drivers and goals but we gibbered, threw imaginary balls and laughed like we had known each other for years!!!

– Have a personal breakthrough about acting not being something I could ever do. Self limiting belief smashed!

– Get a crash course in acting! Going back over all the techniques we covered is pretty f-ing amazing. Thanks for a kick-ass course, Nisrine!

Long rambling way of saying thank you so much!!! I was going through some stuff at sign up time and almost didn’t. My life is so much better for having studied (played with purpose?) with you all!

Nick

Nisrine has always made sure that the classes are engaging, fun and safe environment for the class to engage with drama and life skills.

Jordan
